SEAMEN'S ARTICLES.

(To the Editor of the Daily Times.) Sir, —Upon reading a letter in this day's issue of your paper under tie above heading, it seems that Captain May, of the Stately, has had m?n shipped for his vessel by a shipping agent, by whom it Avoald appear that the men were misted when signing articles. As one of the shipping agents in this port, Aye beg to state thafc all men shipped by us, thoroughly understood the nature ofthe articles previous to signing. As Captain May has not given any name, we consider it our duty in justice to ourselves to beg of you to insert this.

We are, &c, Jetty-street, 21st Nov., 1862.

Leslie & Co.
