Private cablegrams have been received from America containing information that Hanlon hasformally agreed to rowTrickett on the Thames in November nest for the Sportsman's Cup and &takes. Trickett starts for England immediately. A meeting lias been called for the purpose of providing funds, and it is probable that his brother William will accompany him. Irregularities in the accounts of the chief clerk of the Exhibition have been discovered. A sum of Looo cannot be accounted for.
