Cheistchurch, April.ls. The complete agricultural statistics of Canterbury show that the yield of wljeat is 5,461,500 bushels, against 3,621,820 last year. Oats, 5,776,275 ; against 3,237,462. Barley, 1,124,281; against 371,009. Or a total yield of the three principal cereals of 12,361,956 bushels, as against 7,230,291, or about 70 per cent, increase. Had not rain fallen during the harvest in South Canterbury the figures would have been still larger, but as it is, this year has been marked by decidedly the best harvest ever garnered. The percentages are —Wheat, 2S£ bushels per acre; oats, 3ff; barley, The yield of potatoes v. as 37,466 tons, against 26,766, or 6 3-5 tons to the acre.
