SYDNEY EXHIBITION.
Mr. W. J. Smith, Secretary of the local Committee in connection with the Sydney International Exhibition, has received a communication containing the following information of interest to our readers, from Mr. Chas. Cellis, representing this Colony at the Exhibition :—"ln reply to your enquiry re the fine arts sent from New Zealand, the jurors have not yet been appointed, but I believe a quorum is in course of formation. I enclose extract from report of judges in Class 623." The following is the extract referred to : J. and T. Me.ee, Oamaeu. Oats (short), prime feed, grown by J. degree of merit. Oats (Danish), good seed, grown by J. Scott—Second degree of merit. Oats (black Tartarian), very good seed, grown by W. Morton—First degree of merit. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company.
Wheat (White Tuscan), fine milling. 66 lbs, grown by J. Gibson—Second degree of merit. Barley (Chevalier), fair, grown by W. Jessop—Fourth degree of merit. Oats (barley), fair feed, grown by J. Lewis—Third degree of merit. Oats (potato), fair, grown by the Hon, Mathew Holies —Fourth degree of merit,
