CHRISTCHURCH. July IG. William Hall was committed for trial for perjury to-day. The ease arose out of a ciyil case, when the prisoner swore that he could not write. It has since been proved that he can not only write, but i that his name is attached to a document which he said that he had never signed. Flowera, for cattle-stealing, has been remanded to Greymouth.
