* Pfrom: ot7r nwx cniuisspnvDKiT.] The annual examination of the Otepopo District School took place on the 25th hist. Of the Committee there were present—Messrs. Henderson (Chairman), Ross, and Budge ; also, the Revs. Chisholm, of Tukonniiriro. and Ryley, of Otepopo, together witli a considerable number of parents and others. The examination was conducted by Neil-Fleming, Esq., and Mr. it. Peat tie, of the Oamaru High School, who put the pupils of the various classes through a number of exercises, and at the conclusion expressed] their approval of the results. The want of school accommodation was very apparent, and although a Sub-Committee of the Education Board recommended the immediate erection of the new building, no further steps have been taken notwithstanding several applications from the Committee.
