The following cablegram as to the state of the wool market has been received by Messrs. Cargills, Gibbs. and Co, ; "Sales continue animated. There is more disposition among manufacturers to speculate. Prices for average grease show an average rise of a halfpenny, and the market is altogether firmer."
The bill of costs in Regiua v. Jones has been reduced by liJ'2Q. The Government have stopped the sale of the Harbour Board endowment.
The body of a man supposed to be Thomas Esplain, stonecutter, who has been missing for three weeks, was found in the Lower Harbor this afternoon.
