NORTH OTAGO TURF CLUB.
j A meeting of this Club was held last ! evening, at the Empire Hotel. The fol- | members were present : —Messrs. O'Meaglier, President (in the chair), Lumsden ('Treasurer). Paterson, Longford, Greenfield, Richardson, Do'oley, Shatters, and Grant (Secretary. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. It was decided that the privileges of the course be sold by Mr. Maude, on March 2nd.
The meeting was adjourned for half-an-hour, to enable the Ground Committee to confer with Mr. Maitland re t-l»e grand stand. It was moved by Mr. Greonlii Id, and seconded by Mr. Grant, " Th:i,t the Ground Committee be empowered to v.sit the ground and arrange with Mr. Maitland."—Carried. " . It was decided to sell the stand and booths separately. It was proposed by. Mr. Richardson, and seconded by Mr. Greenfield, " That all horses tied to tuo race-course fences, or running at large, shall be taken in charge by the les ;ee of the baiting-pad-dock, and their owners charged at usual rates." —Carried. The next meeting is fixed for Monday next, at 7 o'clock, when nominations will be received.
