RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
THIS DAY. (Before T. \V. I'arkkii, Esq., JI.M.) DRUNK AND DISOROEM/V. .Tames .13. O'Flaherty was charged with being drunk and disorderly and lesisting Constable Smith. The prisoner pleaded guilty, but begged to be let off lightly.— Fined 10s., or 48 hours' imprisonment. WIFE DESERTION. Charlo's Townsend was charged with deserting his wife, Maria Louisa Townsend, and leaving her without lawful means of support. Sub-Inspector Smith stated that in May last, an order was made for the payment of LI lbs. per week for the support of the prisoner's wife and three children, but that up to the present time no money had been paid. At the time of our going to press, his Worship had not given his verdict.
