The City Council propose to offer premiums of £'2oo, £l5O, and £'LOO for the best designs for a Town Hall, wliich shall include- a Five Station and Bell Tower. It is beli2\ r ed the site will be in the Octagon. PETITION FROM CATHOLICS. The Catholics this morning presented a numerously-signed petition asking that free railway passes should be given to children attending their own schools. The Superintendent, in promising to consult the Executive, said tlie application, in reality, touched on tho question of national or denominational education. THE NEW PRINCESS THEATRE, The Princess was opened last night by De Murska's company, assisted by all the professional musical talent in town, with great eclat. The attendance was splendid. STREET TRAMWAYS. The Works Committee of the Citj r Council have reported in favour of street tramways.
