IS CULLING
Honour Under
Hammer
A BIG PRICE
(From "N.Z. Truth's" Christchurch Rep.) ' An innocent looking cable item published a few days ago, caused a good deal of bewilderment m racing circles. TT was to the effect that Honour and Agrion were "to be offered at auction m Sydney at Easter. That announcement, however, does not mean an intention to sell — it merely means that Honour and Agrion will be' put on the market.. And the Australians will have to squeak a tall figure before the Li-, mond two-year-old changes own:, ership. When "N.Z. Truth" questioned G. D. Greenwood about the matter, he stated that he had decided on culling. A portion of his team m work, some of his stud, and about a dozen horses, including brood mares and foals, will go to Sydney next -month for racing and sale.. The decision to cull the team does not necessarily include Honour and Agrion. They were originally going over to race, and Mr. Greenwood has intimated that he will part with Honour and Agrion if anyone speaks loudly enough. And it will have to be a pretty loud, speak. Mr. Greenwood, mentioned the possibility of his being m the market m Sydney as a prospective ' purchaser of young stock.
However, a remark he made to "Truth" m Dunedln suggests that he might turn his attention next season to a New Zealand breed which is growing m popularity.
