THEidea of taking the Great Northern winner, Glendowie, across to South Australia to compete m the Great Eastern Steeplechase at Onkaparinga on Easter Monday has been definitely abandoned. So trainer Albert Rhodes told "N.Z. Truth" last Saturday. The 'chaser suffered a set-back some time ago and is just coming right. Had Glendowie made the trip he would have been forced to carry extra big weights, for the handicapper would not have spared him.
