Jockey Who Was Once Much Abused
(From "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland Rep.) It does not happen to all horsemen that they are able to redeem J themselves m popularity. CTILL, m some quarters W. H. Reid has made that achievement. Reid is the Cambridge horseman who was classed as one of the world's worst exponents of x .he riding art after his exhibition on Mem Sahib m that memorable steeplechase at Ellerslle, which ended m an enforced holiday.
