A NEW STUD
Kiosk To Be Given A Chance Taking a line through several of the purchases made at the sales at Trentham a new r stud is to be established. QUITE a number of young mares were knocked, down to Isaac Lupton and the thought immediately came that the Waverley owner was going into the breeding business. Inquiries made proved this theory to be correct. To start a stud it is of course paramount to have a good sire and m this direction Owner Lupton has one to fill the bill. ; , When Kiosk was sent home after the Eclipse Stakes last September, it was generally expressed that a good horse was leaving the turf when right at the zenith of his career. But it had to be done— Bill Dwyer, knowing what a good horse Kiosk really was, would not take the risk of breaking him down. A magnificent individual to look at, with quality stamped all over him," Kiosk is just the type of sire to get horses. He is by Tea Tray out' of the imported mare Rosie Desmond, has never been knocked about m his racing career, and will be only six next foaling. What more could' be wished for? That his owner is going to give a fair show is evidenced by the mares bought to mate with him. ' Then, of course, outside breeders are sure to want his services.
