AT LONG LAST
Good Boy's First Win (From "N.Z. "Truth's" Auckland Rep.) After numerous attempts, Good Boy scored his first win when he captured the Parawai Hack on the 1 opening day at Thames. J7ARLIER m the day he was beaten by Valuation m the second division of the Tapu Handicap but he made no mistake at his next appearance. During the past few weeks Good Boy has improved considerably and was confidently expected to win at the country meeting as a result of his forward running among the hacks at Ellerslie. Leitrim and Lucy Rose were both better supported than the chestnut when he won and his supporters therefore handled a respectable dividend. Now that he has broken the ice, Good Boy may again soon, but is unlikely to be anything more than fair m his class. He • lacks size and may always be troubled by a bit of weight.
