This had his owner and trainer puzzled, so m his next start he was taken to the front. • It has been m front that Cimabue has done his best and so it was on this occasion. . It was only the last' stride that the well-treated Arrow Lad got up and beat him. ■ On that, gallop Cimabue again came into consideration for the Members on Saturday. L He had gone up m weight, certainly ; but the crowd thought he could win. This time the little fellow did not get to the front and never at any stage was he a winning possibility. At the post he was no nearer than sixth — and a poor one at that. This latest failure has caused Cimabue to lose caste — and he may also get m a bit lighter next time. ' . • '.. .
