A GOOD ONE
Rollo A Bargain For His Owner (By "The Toff.") A tough pacer and one that Is built to go fast and stay, Rollo should turn out a bargain for hi 6 owner, the Auckland sportsman, D. R. Revel!. He was purchased for one hundred notes. THE three-year-old made his first 1 appearance on the grass track at New Brighton where he ran third to his stablemate, Sunfish, m a contest over a mile and a-half. At the Hutt Park meeting Rollo stepped the last two furlongs of the Novice Handicap m 37 2/ssec. to win oh a heavy course. That's enough. In the two outings he has had,, Rollo has acted the part of the perfect gentleman. He has decided promise and should do things later when he gains experience. Dead game right to the white line opposite the judge's box was his sire, Jingle, which carried the colors of the West Coast sportsman, H. W. Kitchingham, with distinction. Jingle is by Capitalist (son of Rpthchild) from Merry Bell, the dam of Gold Bell. The dam of Rollo is Madam Templeton, a mare by that very fast American pacer, Copa de Oro 1.59.
lone, the five-year-old mare which landed the money at Ashburton, is by Brent Locanda from Sallywood and, like the majority of his breeding, she will get better as she grows older.
