. (By "The TofL") THE roan pacing gelding Epigram ts buzzing along m attractive style at Addington. He is keeping sound, and his trainer is hoping to. get the gelding to go two miles. To date, Epigram has been a failure over a distance. • • • The trotting gelding, Young Blake, is m beautiful order, and under W. J. Tomkinson the son of Wildwood Junr. and Daphne Dillon should win a big event m November. • •.. •' , • . The aristocratic-bred pacer, Nelson McElwyn, is improving m health, and is being, kept doing judicious work at Addington by J. J. Kennerley. Nelson McElwyn is the goods, and even if he does take two or three months yet to strike form, he soon will build his trainer's bank roll. . * .'.-.. ,* - ', * Aleron is showing promise m saddle and he should pick up a race at the minor fixtures close at hand. m # # The trotting gelding, New Metford, which won at New Brighton, is moving In great Btyle at Addington. Dalmepy is m grand order after his holiday and he is acting m his work as if he will do his owner further favors this season. • .■'•■ • Since her holiday, Lingfield has lost her sickly appearance and promises to return to form. • * * White Sun has been started up again with a view to being m real shape, for big summer gatherings. White Sun showed a lot of promise at Forbury last season and now that. he is under W. J. Tonikinson's care he Is certain to develop into a pretty good performer. • '.■'.• # ■ R. Bennett is just sufficient with Sahib to keep the gelding sweet for events which will suit him at approaching gatherings. • # ♦ The speedy pacer, Kreisler, is m splendid condition to go through a preparation. He is a good stayer, and it is only a question of his settling down for him to win two or three races. : , •'■ ■■ # '•■ Rose Marie has wintered well, and is being got ready for summer events. Her half-brother, Hinkler, is also a good sort. . * '#■#.. C. Tasker is endeavoring to get on the right side of Ariki. This gelding is capable, but his tactics at the barrier have been costly. •# • ' Hackthorne appears to have got rid of the soreness that bothered him at New Brighton and is pacing m ftis work at Addington as if he should pick up a race shortly. • * # Peter Bingen is m perfect order His trainer is indulging him m walking exercise daily.
