Great Scott

IT is not given to every man to be a bit of everything. But the good ... folk of Thames will tell you that W.-' Scott manages, to be grocer, baker, provision merchant, caterer and half-a-dozen other things' to boot. Yet, for all his work he has not lost the gentle art of being one of the best. In a place like Thames — which, after all, is a little smaller, but just as progressive, as New York — a man judged by his attitude to. the community; m which he - lives. There are no beg- pardons m these places. If a man isn't the right sort, he just doesn't stay. There'll be no fear oftW. Scott moving on. He likes the place and the' place likes him. He is content. Lucky man. .
