Apparently by some misunderstanding, the report of the presidential address appeared m a sporting weekly la6t Thursday as having been delivered at the annual meeting the' previous day (August 8), while actually the annual meeting was not due to take place until yesterday (August 15). - / Someone certainly blundered badly, but provided the A.T.C. presi- , dent did stick to his original intentions at the meeting yesterday, it would be given out that the improved tote is now promised for some time within the next eighteen months. . ; ' "Truth" hopes to make further referenoe to the eleotrio tote matter m a future issue. • .-:-.. However, it was amusing to read that J. Rowe presided at a meeting on August 8, which was not held, and. also, delivered himself of a lengthy speech. Surely this is the last word m prematurity!
