ELECTRIC LIGHT MEETING BASIN RESERVE WEDNESDAY. On Wednesday night, December Bth, tho public will be treated to something new in tho way of athletics, when the Wellington Centre, N.Z.A.A.A., will conduct its first electric light meeting on the. Basin Reserve, commencing at 7.45 E.m. Electric light meetings have been old ’for some time past in Christchurch and other parts, and have proved wonderfully successful. Wednesday night will witness Wellington's initial effort. The Basin Reserve has been specially fitted up with enormously powerful flood lights, thus giving Tie spectators a perfect view of tho whole ground. A full programme of events will be put through, including running and field ovents, walk, ladies' races, boys* races, eyclo races, relay races, etc., and the public can bo assured of a very enjoyable evening.
