PROTESTS IN NEWCASTLE
GOVERNMENT INQUIRY ASKED, By Telegraph.—Frees Assn. —Copyright. NEWCASTLE. December 2.
A meeting of representative industrial bodies subscribing funds to "the Newcastle Hospital discussed the appointment of Mr J. Coyle, of Wellington, New Zealand, as secretary. The meeting condemned the president for making the appointment, and. asked him to resign. It also resolved to ask the Government to make an immediate inquiry into the" affairs of the hospital, and decided also t* ask that the appointment of Mr Coyle be cancelled.
