PRINCESS THERESE W T IFE OF THE AGA KHAN. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association* (Received December 2, 7.10 p.m.) LONDON, December 1. Princess Therese, wife of the Aga Khan, is dead in Paris. The “Daily Express” correspondent reports that her death was a great blow to the Aga Khan, who had left her bright and cheerful, and returned to the nursing home three hours later to be told she was dead of heart failure, following an operation. Princess Therese was born in 1889, an Italian, and was formerly Signorina Magliano. She embraced Islam before her marriage. She was a devoted wife and mother, and also a clever. sculptor, and exhibited at the Royal Academy. Her son is at present at school at Huntingdon. His Royal Highness the Aga Khan is the head of a great Mohammedan sect, and a powerful influence in India. He is better known in England as a successful racehorse owner. SIR A. S. COWLEY BRISBANE, December 2. The death has occurred of Sir A. S. Cowley, ei-Minister of Lands and exSpeaker, at the age of 78 years.
