MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times” Correspondent A At the monthly meeting held o_ ?ovember 19th, there were present: Mesrfames Brandon (president, in the chair), P. Simeox, and Holmes (Manskau), Blair, Podevin. Sutton. Sargis6on, Cockrell, O’Rourke, Slater, Witchefl (hon. secretary), and Miss Miles. Apologies were received from Mesdames Wills, Knox, Lethbridge and Milne. . • The nurse’s report for October was read, and showed that her services were fully appreciated and the volume of work maintained. The matter of a contribution to tlie Lady Truby King Fellowship was fully discussed, and it was decided to ask the sub-branches to subscribe, and that the matter be left to the president and secretary to deal with, as time is limited. At this stage the following members of the Advisory Board attended, vis., Messrs Brandon, Wilmott, Witched, anc( Dr Milne (vice-president). Apologies were received from Revs. Moir and Liddell, and Mr Slater (vice-pre-sidents), and Messrs Morse, Lowry and Minton. The president, retiring. Mr Brandon then took the chair. Tlie trustees of the building fund, Mesdames Blair, Podevin and Witched.reported that they had attended to the UDkeep of the building since its completion. and had made necessary improvements with the balance of funds, and now desired to hand the rooms over to the care and responsibility of the Plunket Society. Tho secretary advised that the building had been freshly rough-cast and lime-washed, and was in perfect order, and that a donation of £3 18s had been given to complete the cost of same, so that the rooms would be handed over free to the society. The matter of the Plunket carnival, to be held early in the year, was discussed, and it was decided to leave the sports programme in the hands of - the Advisory Board. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
