STRING BAND RECITAL

Miss Mildred Kenny held a recital of her pupils at St. John’s Hall last night. Mandolin, banjo, guitar, and ukulele were played, and a very delightful concert resulted. The items given were “Polka March” by the banjo and mandolin bands, “Forget-me-not, My Waikiki”; “Mermaid,” and other selections by the guitar band “Hettie” waltz, “Always.” “Golden Bong.” and “Greetings Waltz,” by tin mandolin band; and “Darkie’s Dream." “Old Time Memories” and “Coontowi Breezes,”-by the banjo players, will: “Yearning” as a tenor banjo dnot. Those taking part were Messrs A. O Leach, S. T. Jones and C. Renner on the banjo; Mrs R. B. Lind and Master R. Plauner, tenor banjos: Mrs A O. Leach, hanjohn; Misses M. Peterson, Benn, Strong, Messrs R. H. Plauner, .T. W. M. Harrison, A. R. Folev. Trail, Cross, and Boyd on the mandolins; Mrs J. H. Brown, Misses Chiver 1 --, Escott, G. Hookey, M. Monro, S Baker, Mr C. Soal, and Master Gordor Hall playing steel guitars; and Mr; J. Jackson and Miss Pryce the ukulele
