MARLBOROUGH MARRIAGE REASONS FOR*'ANNULMENT. N 7>. ROME, November 25. The text of the finding of the Roman Catholic Church tribunal which annulled the Marlborough marriage shows that the tribunal affirms that it was a prior attachment on the part of the Duchess which made the marriage unhappy from tho start. was confirmed by all the witnesses, including the Duke of Marlborough, the Duchess, and Mrs W. K. Vanderbilt. Accordingly, Miss Consuelo Vanderbilt was not given the necessary liberty of contract to make the marriage valid. The Duke of Marlborough married Consuelo Vanderbilt, daughter of the late W. K. Vanderbilt, of New York, in J 895. The parties wero legally divorced in 1920 on a suit brought by the Duchess, and they both married again, the Duke Miss Deacon, of Boston and the Duchess Lieut.-Colonel Jacques Balsan, a French aviation officer.
