BUTTER NOW IN DEMAND
TRADE SUDDENLY IMPROVED NEW ZEALAND CONTROL PRICE RAISED By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, November 25. There has been a remarkable improvement in the butter trade in tho last three days, following a better industrial outlook and reports of dry weather in New South Wales and Queensland, which are likely to reduce shipments. A good demand has sprung up in London and the provinces, and there are also some sales, for America and the Continent, where there is a shortage. One broker says that he sold more butter on Tuesday, Wednesday, and today tliau in’ the previous four months. It i. reported that the new season’s New Zealand butter has been practically cleared at 148 s to 150 s. The control price bas been raised from 156 s to 158 s. Danish is firm at 170 s. Australian choicest (salted). 146 s to 148 s: exceptional, I50s; unsalted, 160 s to 1625. Cheese is firm, and New Zealand is bringing 84s to 85s.
