SAFE BLOWN OPEN
BURGLARS GET NOTHING EXPLOSIONS HEARD. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, November 23. Explosives were successfully but unprofitably used on a safe in the office of C. and A. Odlin’s Timber Company, Ltd., in Otahuhu on Monday evening. A r in numerous recent instances of
sad?© blowing, the explosions were heard by residents in the vicinity. The thieves effected an entry through a window and apparently used two charges of explosive. One charge was applied to the door of the safe, and following its opening a- second charge was used to open the cash drawer. The burglars obtained nothing for their pains.
