SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY

Yet another bi-wceklv concert was given by Mrs E. Pollock to seafarers on Thursday, at the Sailors’ Friend Society, when the items were received with overwhelming applause. The performers wero Mrs E. Pollock, t-lic Misses Buekmnster, Bowler, Charles, and Messrs Brusey, A. Edmunds. R. H. Bennett, East, Ewan. Clarke. Bosberry and James. Mrs E. Pollock and Mr Brusey were at the piano. During the evening winsome competitions were entered into, >e prizes came from Miss Keep-Reid, d Hastings. and went to the Port Hobart, Tamaroa. and Ulimaroa. The missionary announced that tho society would he grateful for discarded books for the voyages before the men.
