AN OUTSIDE IN CELLARS

Believed to be London's biggest cellars, tlioso of tho Italian Hospital in Queen square, Bloomsbury, have given rise to nil kinds of picturesque stories. It has been suggested that underneath this old-world square, one of the quietest in all London, there is a pirates’ tunnel. An official of the Italian Hospital laughed at the ide©crf pirates when questioned on the subject, but spoke proudly of the cellars. “They run from directly underneath the hospital half-way up the square,” he said. “Some time ago some of the arches bad to be repaired, as they were giving way. I have often been in the cellars, but I have never seen or heard of an exit except into the hospital. The cellars are used for coal.”
