TOURED DOMINION
FIREMAN STEALS MOTOR-CYCLE. l’er Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, November 18. The story of a tour of New Zealand, , large part of which was done on a notor-cycle, was told to Mr H. A. t’oung, S.M., to-day, but the machine was a stolen one, and the rider was in the dock charged with the theft of it. He was Frank Watson Mclvor, ship’s fireman, aged 30 years. Accused pleaded guilty, and was sent to the Supreme Court for sentence. Mclvor’s peregrinations on the mo tor-bike extended from Christchurch to the backblocks of Southland. Mclvor got some petrol free from the Salvation Army, and he got the machine in the first place from Gibbs Motor Company, Christchurch. He told a salesman he was a potential buyer so was allowed a trial run.
