FASCISTS OBJECT TO Y.M.C.A.
“ENGAGED IN PROSELYTISING” ROTARY CLUBS APPROVED. Australian and N Z. Gable Association. (Received November 15, 8.5 p.m.) ROME, November 14. The Fascist Press is raising objections to the Young Men’s Christian Association, on the ground thqt it is an organisation engaged in proselytising. The papers point out that Roman Catholicism is the national religion of Italy. • / There has also been criticism of Rotary clubs, which began in a similar way to those in Britain and America, but they have been taken up by prominent Fascists, so they are now officially approved.
