RECALL OF GOVERNOR WILL BE REQUESTED
STERN FIGHT EXPECTED IN NEW SOUTH WALES PARLIAMENT
By Telegraph.—Press Association.— Copyright. (Received November 15,‘8-5 p.m.) LONDON, November 15. Although Ministers generally believe that the recall of the Governor of New South Wales, Sir Dudley De Chair, is inevitable, they do not share the optimism of the Premier, Mr J. T. Lang, who stated that the Governor would leave New South Wales within a month. The date for the submission to the Legislative Assembly of a motion asking for the recall of the Governor has not yet been decided, and it is anticipated that the motion will be sternly contested ’by the Opposition. The Legislative Council, also, may complicate matters by passing a motion of confidence in the Governor. Ministerial opinion, howevejr, 1 is that if the Legislative Assembly passes a motion asking for the recall of the Governor, the Secretary of State for the Dominions will-have no alternative but to acquiesce.
