PERSONAL AND GENERAL. (From *Our Own Correspondent.) MASTERTON, November 12. The receipts at the Methodist spring fair, held at Greytown, totalled £6l. The competitions were won os follow: —Nail driving, men A. Haigh 1, A. M. Gray 2; ladies, Miss Townsend 1, Miss Hardinge 2; boys, W. Sadler 1, V. Brazendaie 2. Elat trimming, men, Tui Morgan 1, Rev. C. R. Taylor 2; boys, Douglas Allan 1, \V. Sadler 2. The aggregate prizes at the euchre tournament, held by the Kia Kalia Hockey Club, Greytown, were won as follows: —Mrs J. Langley, a set of aluminium saucepans, and Mr W. Grigg, half a doze nstainless knives. Rev. J. H. Datson, assistant curate at St. Matthew’s Church, Masterton, has been appointed vicar at Raetilii. At the annual sports meeting of the Wairarapa Girls’ High School yesterday afternoon the senior championship was won by Marjorie Mowlem with 17 points from Edna Ferguson 10 points and Dora Moncrieff 9 points, while Lorna Renner and Bessie Jackson tied with 13 points each for the junior championship. The champion events were won as follow: —100yds senior, M. Mowlem; 100yds junior, B. Jackson; 220yds senior, E. Ferguson; 220yds junior, L. Renner; high jump senior, M. Mowlem and D. Moncrieff; junior, B. Jackson; long jump, senior, M. Mowlem; junior, L. Renner.
