MORE PILLION RIDING
Ah interesting story has gone the rounds of Uganda in connection with a native taken to hospital with mauls received from a leopard. The yarn, according to a contemporary, goes that he was riding along on his bicycle when he suddenly felt the back of the machine somewhat weighed down. On looking round he found that a leopard had sprung on to the carrier, and was apparently enjoying the ride. In sheer terror the native headed for the ditch with both himself and the leopard, which clawed his back and knocked his liat off. The leopard then bolted; so did the bov. He did not go back for his five-shilling hat.
