WOMAN RECLUSE DEAD
A recluse who for weeks at a tin:., did not cross her door, Miss Margaret McCoy was found dead at the foot of the stairs in her house in Park avenue, Bush Hill Park, Edmonton. M iss McCoy, who was a retired schoolmistress, and said to be well-off, lived alone, and was rarely seen by her neighbours, who, noticing no sign of life in her house, informed the police; Death apparently took place at least three weeks ago. The rooms looked neglected, and bundles and parcels were lying about as though she had intended to move. At doors and windows were ropes and string, to which were attached a number of tin cans. This was a primitive form of burglar alarm which Miss McCoy devised many month* ago after an attempt had been made $8 enter the house.
