HIS VISIT TO DUNEDIN. r-BR PRESS ASSOCIATION. I>UNEDIN, June 14. General Birdwood left for Invercargill this morning. Ho was accorded a civic reception on Saturday afternoon, and laid tho foundation-stone of tho U.S.A. Memorial Club. He was also welcomed by the Overseas Club, and yesterday visited the soldiers in hospital ARRIVAL AT INVERCARGILL. INVERCARGILL, June 14. ' Sir William and Lady Birdwood arrived by tho express this afternoon, and were accorded a civic reception m the presence of a large and enthusiastic crowd. The party afterwards irSto places of interest n„ the district, including tho hospital, and saw the convalescent men. where ■General Birdwood had a conversation with the military patiente. Ho was entertained at dinner and a smoke concoi t to-night and leavoa for Queenstown to-morrow. '
