GENERAL BOOTH
CITIZENS’ RECEPTION ON THURSDAY.
On Thursday afternoon a public reception is to be tendered in the Town Hall to General Bramwell Booth, head of tho Salvation Army, who is visiting New Zealand. Tho Mayor (Mr J. P. Luke. C.M.G., M.P.) will preside. . . While General Booth is in Wellington ho will attend two other gatherings, one on Sunday afternoon June 20th. when ho will deliver a lecture on "Some Lessons on My Fathers Life,” and tho other in the evening. Each gathering will ho in the Town Hall, and in order that seating accommodation may he available for the evening mooting, children will not be admitted.
