GOVERNMENT ENGINEER TO BE CONSULTED.
The question as to the best site for establishing tho proposed new steamdriven electric power-house for the city is to be submitted by the City Council to the Chief Government Electrical Engineer (Mr Lawrence Birks), who will bo asked for an opinion. Tho council has rejected tho idea of also seeking the advice of. Sir Arnold Gridlcy, wh,o is at present visiting New Zealand from England.
