HYLLUS WINS YORK WELTEE. WINTER. STEEPLECHASE TO SLOWCOACH. TEE PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, June 9. The Auckland Racing Club's winter meeting was concluded at Elierslie today in beautiful weather and before a large attendance. The totalisator handled £73,031 10s, which gave a grand total of £220,391 for the meeting, an increase of £14,533 as compared with last year. Koreone ehowed tho way for over a mile, when Deviation took command and the latter ran home a winner by three lengths, with ten lengths between second and third. Time, 3min 31 3-sscc. The whole field was still standing up when the. double wn» reached in the 1 second round, Old Mungindi being in the lead, and the top weight showed the way over (he brush hurdle,. In tho run up the back Omaha assumed command, and the latter showed tho, way up the hill, closely attended by First Call, The latter had the best of it at tho first and rail fence, but Omaha heat beat him at the next fence, and tho son of Mauiapoto leading down the hill, he was first over tho stone wall. Slowcoach came along with a great, dash from the head of tho straight, and cutting down Oraahu before the last hurdle was reached, he drew
