The finance committee has come to a determination in the matter at its meeting on, Monday, and the estimates have been forwarded to tho individual councillors, and will come up for consideration and adoption at Thursday night a mooting. “This year, of course, the Karon borough having become amalgamated with the city, tho rates for that particular locality will, bo provided as heretofore, on. a special rate that was levied by the borough. _ “In connection with the tramways, conluded -Mr Luke., “that item will not appear, as it applies J to the whole oi the city 1 , including the new portions, without any discrimination. ’’
