INDUSTRIAL POSITION
EMPLOYERS’ FEDERATION CONFLUENCE. To discuss the industrial situation and consider the best means of promoting industrial peace is the object of a conference, to be opened at Wellington this morning, convened by the New Zealand Employers’ Federation. In addition to members of the federation, representatives of the Associated Chambers of Commerce, the Industrial Corporation of New Zealand, thc( New Zealand Farmers’ Union, and the New Zealand Welfare League have been invited to attend the conference. It is expected that the conference will last some two days. This moru. ing’s proceedings, a “Times” reporter was informed, are to be of a committee character; and whether the Press will bo admitted to the later sittings of the conference is a matter that has yet to .bo decided by the conference itself. ■ ’
