INVERCARGILL THEFT CASE. - ran r-Rr.ss association. ’ INVERCARGILL, Juno 2. After the trial of William Joseph Lyons. William Holland and William Edward Duthie, on. various charges arising out of the theft of a large quantity of petrol from a hulk store occupied by J. G. Ward and Co. and Briscoe and Co. had proceeded throughout the forenoon at tho Supremo Court counsel for the accused withdrew their plea of not guilty and they pleaded guilty; Duthie and Lyons to theft and Holland t 6 breaking and entering. Air Justice Sim sentenced each of th<* accused to reformative detention for a period l not exceeding three years.
