" "There have -been novel developments in the uses of the aeroplane in its adaptation for forest survey purposes, to'give exact and speedy information as to the extent of forests and tho most suitable lines for cutting tracks. Aeroplanes are expected to do valuable work in opening up lands not fully explored, and a number of aeroplanes are now in course of shipment to Canada for this work, while others aro being sent to India. Tho machines aro designed to carry both cargo and passengers, and are fitted with interchangeable land-carriers and floats.
