IN AVELLINGTON DISTRICT.
Eighteen. cases of influenza, including two at AVaipawa, of the pneumonic typo, were reported in tho Wellington health district between May Bth and I2th. One severe case and threo mild cqses wore reported in the city. . Total, 18. COAIMISSION’S REPORT. The report of tho Royal Commission on the influenza Epidemic, the • time for the presentation of which was extended to yesterday, Alay 14th, has, been forwarded to His Excellency tho Governor-General, and will shortly be considered by Cabinet. The Alimster for Public Health was able to give no indication yesterday as to when the, report will be available for publication. CASES IN OTAGO. Press Association. DUNEDIN, May 14. The District Hea |in Officer reports that the notification of influenza in Otago and Southland so far this month number five. Of those, four are in Dunedin, ono in Roxburgh. All are mild, except one. The Aledical Council recommends lifting all the remaining influenza restrictions. It is expected that theatres will reopen on Saturday.
