WAR FUNDS

Thursday, October 18th, is the day this year which has been set aside as “Our'Day,” the day on which an appeal is made all • through the British Dominions for Red Cross funds. Bo far very good response has been made to the various calls made for funds tor this purpose, but considerably more is required in order that we should equal the collection of last year. Jt must he remembered that £BOOO per day is required for Red Cross work in the various fields, and it is hoped that New Zealand will maintain its reputation of contributing its far share towards the good work done tor our wounded soldiers. The treasurer would be pleased to acknowledge any further donations.
