TERRITORIAL CAMPS
COMMANDANT'S INSPECTION TO-DAY. After to-morrow Trentham and the rarious forts guarding the harbour will be destitute of Territorials, as the ft.Tvrvnfll c<unpß will then codclhq©. At Trentham yesterday a comprehensive programme of drill was gone through, including the training of the sth Eegiment in attack and defence. Today, combined operations are to be performed under the direction of the Coast Defence Commander (LieutenantColonel G. F. C. Campbell). The Commandant, General Godley, will inspect the regiment in its work, also the - D Battery, which has been on a "trek" to Waikanae and back. Yesterday, company eemce practice was carried out from all the guns mounted at the forts. The result was satisfactory. and an inspection was made by the officer commanding the district (Colonel Chaytor), who was assisted by Lieutenant-Colonel Campbell (Coast Defence Commander). This morning General Godley and Jus stag will witness battle practice at all the forts.
