BRINK OF VOLCANO
A PREMIER’S WARNING SECRET SITTING OF BELGIAN CHAMBER. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received February 16. 5.5 p.m.; BRUSSELS, February 16. A secret sitting of the Chamber of Deputies discussed defence questions. The Prime Minister and Minister of War, M. do Broqueville, stated his conviction that there would be war in the near future in which Belgium would be involved. Ho declared that Ministers wero sitting on the brink of a volcano. Large forces were at present massed on the east and south of Belgium. It is understood that tho Pieroier particularly impressed the fact of Germany’s military preparations at Elsenborg, where there is the vast mouoeuving camp of the Coblenz army corps, and that there is a great strategic railway running parallel to the frontier from Aix-la-Chapelle, and other strategic lines to Malmedy.
