Press Association. AUCKLAND, February 14. At a meeting of the Exhibition sports committee, a report from the snorts commissioner, Mr Gilfedder, was adopted, providing for the holding of a New Zealand championship - sports meeting, comprising professional, pedestrian, cycling, and axemen’s events. The total prize-money amounts to £712. Mr Gilfedder advocated holding a pipe band contest, and was authorised to communicate with bands throughout the Dominion on the matter.
