MODEL YACHT CLUB

The above club held its first meeting last evening, and a start is to be made at once to further the advancement of this sport in our city. A very fair assembly of members met to discuss details, and it was decided to hold the opening meeting of first and secondclass boats on March 15th. Trophies will be competed for in every race. The following committee was appointed : Messrs Jukes, Nixon, McDonald, Edlund, E. Bernasconi, Wheeler, Norton, and N. Bernasconi. The membership fee for the season is to be; Seniors 2s fid, juniors Is. Any information will gladly be given by the hon. sec., Mr N. Bernasconi, Te Aro House. The second meeting will bo held on Thursday, February 20th. ,
